Portrait of Aurelio Zamudio

Aurelio Zamudio

Partner, Brownsville office

Aurelio spends most of his week in immigration court, or preparing families for the day they go.

Before joining the firm he was a staff attorney at a legal aid program for detained immigrants, where he learned how fast a bond hearing comes and how much a single letter from an employer can matter. He leads the Brownsville office and takes the firm's court and detention cases from all three.

Preparing for a hearing with Aurelio

Court cases are won on paper before anyone speaks. Aurelio builds the file with you: records, letters from people who know you, and proof of every year you've lived here.

Before the hearing you'll practice your testimony with him at least twice, so the questions you hear in court are ones you've already answered.
