Portrait of Anselmo Quintanilla

Anselmo Quintanilla

Associate, Laredo office

Anselmo handles the firm's DACA renewals and citizenship cases, from an office a few blocks from where he grew up.

He was in high school when DACA began, and helped friends gather school records for their first applications. That's what sent him to law school. He leads the Laredo office, keeps the firm's calendar of renewal dates, and runs a free practice night for the citizenship test there once a month.

What a renewal looks like with Anselmo

Five months before your DACA expires, his office calls you. You come in once, sign and leave with copies; he files and sends you every notice as it arrives.

At that same visit he asks what's changed in your life. Most years the answer is nothing. The year it isn't, he'll tell you what that change could open up.
